My wish for you is that this life becomes all that you want it to. Your dreams stay big and your worries small. You never need to carry more than you can hold. and while you're out there gettting where you're getting to, I hope you know somebody loves you.

Drake is here!
So here's the story....
As some of you know Jacob just got a promotion ( yay!) and starts this Monday... Well since I had been dilated for 2 weeks and at my last dr. appt I was 2cm dilated and 80% effaced and 38 weeks along , I decided to take matters into my own hands to make sure Jacob was able to take time off before he started training for his new job.. We tried everything! I tried raspberry leaf tea , walking, galloping like a horse ( Gavin thought this was great fun ) hours of pilates and all I was getting was some pretty strong braxton hicks.. I asked my friend Amanda about any natural ways to induce labor she said" Castor Oil" .
So I sent Jacob to the store to get the oh, so delicious castor oil .
5pm... took about 2 tlbs of that nasty stuff.
a few hours roll by and I am starting to get discouraged again. The boys go to bed thinking I'm crazy.
Around 9pm... I start to feel really bad cramps . I decide to sleep on the couch since I heard castor oil can make you pretty sick.
4am... I am laying on the couch wondering " Why would I do this to myself. I feel horrible and nothings going to happen. I get up to use the restroom and VICTORY is mine! I have finally started bleeding. I waddle to the room , let Jacob know I think it's time to go but come look and make sure I really am bleeding and not just seeing things ( I had gone to the hospital the week before thinking my water broke but I had just peed myself! ).
415 ish... We drop Gavin off at Kellie's. Thank god she lives so close!
430... We're at the hospital, get admitted and taken to Triage. The nurse checks me and says I'm completly effaced and 4cm dilated. Walks away and tells the other nurse that she doesn't think I'm ready.I'm too calm!!!!!! Perhaps she would have preferred me to be crying but the other nurse decided that I was ready. Good thing too....
530... I am up in the room having pretty strong contractions . The nurse checks me ( who was AMAZING by the way) and I am already 8 cm dilated. 4cm in an hour. We were all pretty impressed.
630ish .... My poor nurse is rushing around trying to get me situated , checks me again and I tell her I need to push . I push twice and line the baby up . She rushes to call the dr. and lets me know she is doing a c-section at another hospital and I have to wait for Dr. Lineback to get there . I am at this point crying in pain and decide there is no way I can wait 15 min for this lady GIVE ME THE DRUGS ! Why does this always happen to me? Same thing happened with Gavin. I had to lay there crowning and wait for the doctors to change shifts! Anyways....
7 ish My savior has arrived with the drugs. I am now hunched over the bed, getting my epidural, holding Jacob's hands, having contractions so strong I want to scream.Instead I squeeze Jacob's hand so hard I dislocate his pinky.hahahahaa
7ish Dr. Lineback finally shows up, I push twice more and my little sweetheart Drake Henry Lever was born at 7:11am at 6lbs 7oz , 18 1/2 inches. oh and did I mention he actually measured at 39 1/2 weeks gestational age. Those 20 weeks of progesterone shots really worked. I made a perfect, healthy full term baby.
P.S. Amanda, yes the castor oil does work like a charm. :)
